About my School

We are a small Primary School in the Western Isles in Scotland.

What challenges have you faced when trying to help pupils learn their times tables?

It can be challenging to make learning times tables engaging for learners and for some pupils even games can fail to make times tables stick.

How did you first hear about Fables World, and what has your experience been like so far?

I came across Fables World just by chance and I’m glad I did! From initial contact to seamlessly setting up the platform, follow up by the Fables World team has been exceptional.

How has Fables World supported your pupils in learning their times tables?

Fables World is not only engaging, with the memorable characters and relatable stories, but even the youngest pupils, in our case year one, are answering seven times tables almost without thinking. The platform is very accessible allowing pupils to work independently at their own pace.

How do you use Fables World in your classroom?

Whole class lessons help reinforce the stories around the facts and provide a competitive element involving even the most reluctant learner. As well as ‘Table Fables,’ ‘Simply Math’ reinforces number bonds in a fun way and we are looking forward to ‘Farting Fractions’ as our next Quest.
